Museum of the Earth
Museum of the Earth is a natural history museum located in Ithaca, New York, that explores the history of the Earth and its life through fossils, models and multimedia exhibits. The museum was established in 2003 as part of the Paleontological Research Institution (PRI), an independent organization pursuing research and education in paleontology and geology.
Museum of the Earth features a variety of permanent and temporary exhibits: highlights include a 44-foot long skeleton of a North Atlantic right whale, a 500-foot mural depicting 600 million years of life, a collection of mastodon fossils from New York State, and a coral reef aquarium. The museum also offers educational programs, events and activities for visitors of all ages.
